Basic Fruit Tree Care Workshop: (Rescheduled for either Monday April 23 or Wed. the 25th at 6pm at Delki Dozzi). The cost is $25 per person. If you're interested, please message carrie (at)  Based on the forecast at that time, on Sunday the 22nd we will send a message to all who are interested to confirm which date.  Ron Lewis, of Lewis' Hardy Fruit Trees, has been growing cold-hardy fruit trees and other edible plants in the Sudbury area for about 40 years. Demonstrating on young apple, pear, cherry and cherry-plum trees, he'll teach us how to care for them.

Food Forest Workshops and Planting: May 12, 2018  10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
We'll be planting phase 2 of Sudbury's first community food forest at Delki Dozzi park. In conjunction with planting activities, we'll be offering two workshops. The presentations will be approximately one hour followed by two hours of hands-on planting. For those willing to contribute time to help with maintenance tasks through the growing season, the workshops are free (we're asking for 3 hours commitment per workshop). Or you can donate $25 (per workshop) to Sudbury Shared Harvest. Times and topics are as follows (all take place at Delki Dozzi and you must register using the link below):
Introductory presentation: "Permaculture Ideas" Instructor: Fionna Tough.  Sat. May 12th, 10am - 1pm
Come and learn the basics of edible forest gardening! After learning basic terminology and being introduced to entry-level concepts of permaculture, you will be invited to participate in a hands-on planting session of the Food Forest being established at Delki Dozzi Park. Let’s get growing! 
Advanced presentation: (details TBA)  Instructor: Fionna Tough. Sat. May 12th, 2pm - 5pm
This advanced session will not cover basic concepts.  This is meant for those who have attended the morning workshop or one of the introductory workshops we offered in 2016 and 2017 or for those with some knowledge of edible forest gardening.   
After the presentation, help us plant phase 2 of the food forest!
